The theme for today is relaxing, making life fun again.
We’ll start with a way to refresh your spirit. There’s how-to article from Good-Life Zen that includes recovering from spiritual overload. There’s a lesson on three-breath meditation, too.
One way to relax is to cut your chore-time down. Here’s a video clip on how to fold a T-shirt in two seconds. It took me about 30 minutes to get it, but it does work. Your results may vary. And watching the video takes about 30 seconds.
Mental Floss is a magazine for knowledge junkies–interesting stories that will take your mind of your problems effectively. In this issue, there are five quick stories about people who wrote a message, put it in a bottle and threw it in the water. It’s a good read.
Sometimes relaxing means knowing that you aren’t alone. From the people who brought you the LOLCat and LOLrus, Icanhascheezburger, comes Emails from crazy people.

I think I need a super slow motion of the t-shirt folding process! 🙂
Me, too! It took me 30 minutes of practice to get the two-second fold!
I love the cats :)) and the stories about the messages in a bottle. Wouldn’t it be a nice idea to organize a New Years party at a beach with good friends, drink bottles of fine wine and other liquids, fill the bottles with good wishes and throw them in the sea.
What a great idea that is, and while we are at it, celebrating by wishing our friends well too!
Hmm.. so anybody’s email could end up on that webite?
What would happen if other people’s letters would be published like that for everybody to be read.
Well, if you notice, they remove all identifying information from the sender. The receiver, who submits it, generally comments.
ow thank you Quinn for the fun sites! Within an hour people will be busy in our house fixing stuff and I will enjoy myself with the emails from crazy people, sitting on a folding chair with my laptop on the ironing board. 🙂
Thank goodness you can have a break from that move that never seems to end!
You know moving from one country to another takes about two months.
There are the preparations for the move, the packing, going to a hotel, travel to country of destination and again a hotel or in our case camping in our house and waiting for all the stuff to arrive again, unpacking everything and then.. finally.. PHEW.
So we’re almost there 🙂
I moved last year, but just across the country, not to a new country. I can’t imagine all the hassle you had to go through. Glad it’s almost over!
I thought emails from crazy people sounded amusing, and wanted to take a quick break, so I started reading. 40 minutes later, I was still reading and laughing. But I had better set a timer next time I want to goof off for only 10 minutes.
There should be a disclaimer — gigantic time suck! Beware! 🙂
